    New King James Bible

The NKJV Bible carries forward the prestigious heritage of the original KJV Bible for the modern reader to enjoy and appreciate its literary beauty and poetic elegance. The aim of the NKJV is "not to make a new translation... but to make a good one better."

130 scholars, theologians and pastors all gathered to undertake this important task, studying the original manuscripts available, including the Dead Sea Scrolls. The NKJV calls its method of translation 'complete equivalence,' meaning they translated each word within the context of the sentence to preserve accurately the information in the text.

    Easy Read Version Youth Bible

A brand new Youth Bible in a new anglicized translation (East to Read Version), complete with all-new supplementary notes, including Bible study material, colour topical subject pages and many other features.

The ERV was developed In the 1980s by the World Bible Translation Centre using the Easy-to-Read version for the Deaf (ERD) as its basis. Since then, the ERV text has been revised, enhanced, and updated regularly. Although the ERV and the NCV (the original Youth Bible translation) have the same roots, the NCV has never been updated, whereas the ERV is continually being honed to embrace changes in world English.

Although technically, the ERV is not an 'updated NCV', it does represent a twenty-first-century advancement of both translations mentioned above.Authentic Media have long been associated with publishing Youth Bibles, having first created the anglicized NCV Youth Bible back in 1993. Having overseen three revisions of that Youth Bible, Authentic are now producing a brand new anglicized Youth Bible packed full of features that will help young people connect with the Word of God and enable them to understand the 'big picture' of the Bible.

Many treat the NASB as the most literally-translated modern English Bible, using a ‘word for word’ method whilst refraining from adding interpretive opinions and contemporary cultural influences – allowing for a purely literally translation to shine through.

The original NASB was updated in 1995 to succeed the 1971 version, using newly discover manuscripts to provide a more accurate translation whist also revising vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure to reflect current English.

    Word On the Street

Rob Lacey's "dangerously real" retelling of Scripture vividly demonstrates that the Bible is packed full of stories/poems/images that resonate with the big issues of today. This fresh paraphrase with running commentary brings the text alive: Bible stories are retold as mini-blockbusters; psalms as song lyrics; epistles as emails; Revelation as a virtual reality. Out with stale religious terms, here's a "Bible" that talks today's language - gritty, earthy, witty. Enough of starting at Genesis with good intentions but getting lost in Leviticus. Lacey succeeds in revitalizing a classic work by focusing on the big picture: fast-forwards through the "slow-moving" bits with pace, passion and energy to make the Bible a page-turner again.

    International Children’s Bible

The International Children’s Bible® is not a storybook or a paraphrased Bible. It is a translation of God’s Word from the original Hebrew and Greek languages.

God intended for everyone to be able to understand his Word. Earliest Scriptures were in Hebrew, ideally suited for a barely literate society because of its economy of words, acrostic literary form and poetic parallelism. The New Testament was first written in the simple Greek of everyday life, not in the Latin of Roman courts or the classical Greek of the academies. Even Jesus, the Master Teacher, taught spiritual principles by comparing them to such familiar terms as pearls, seeds, rocks, trees and sheep. It is for this same purpose of making the Scriptures intelligible that this translation was created.

The Prodigal God - Timothy Keller

In ‘The Prodigal God’, New York pastor Timothy Keller uses the story of the prodigal son to shine a light on the central, beautiful message of Jesus: the gospel of grace, hope and salvation.

Keller argues that the parable of the prodigal son, while Jesus' best-known parable, is also his least understood. He introduces the reader to all the characters in this timeless story, showing that it concerns not just a wayward son, but also a judgemental older brother and, most importantly, a loving father.

Have you ever seen God move tangibly in a powerful worship service?

Have you also been unmoved or unaffected by a lively sermon or worship experience?

How can you discern when the Holy Spirit is authentically moving, or when a counterfeit spirit is producing manipulation?

If the dove is the symbol of the authentic Holy Spirit, then the pigeon is a symbol of the counterfeit spirit. Unfortunately many of the claims to the presence of the dove among us are nothing but pigeon religion.

    Don't settle for a substitute.

What’s So Amazing About Grace? – Phillip Yancey

Grace is the church's great distinctive. It's the one thing the world cannot duplicate, and the one thing it craves above all else - for only grace can bring hope and transformation to a jaded world.

In What's So Amazing About Grace? Award-winning author Philip Yancey explores grace at street level. “If grace is God's love for the undeserving,” he asks,” then what does it look like in action? And if Christians are its sole dispensers, then how are we doing at lavishing grace on a world that knows far more of cruelty and un-forgiveness than it does of mercy?”

In his most personal and provocative book ever, Yancey offers compelling, true portraits of grace's life-changing power. He searches for its presence in his own life and in the church. He asks, “How can Christians contend graciously with moral issues that threaten all they hold dear?” And he challenges us to become living answers to a world that desperately wants to know, ‘What’s So Amazing About Grace?’
