New King James Bible
The NKJV Bible carries forward the prestigious heritage of the original KJV Bible for the modern reader to enjoy and appreciate its literary beauty and poetic elegance. The aim of the NKJV is "not to make a new translation... but to make a good one better."
130 scholars, theologians and pastors all gathered to undertake this important task, studying the original manuscripts available, including the Dead Sea Scrolls. The NKJV calls its method of translation 'complete equivalence,' meaning they translated each word within the context of the sentence to preserve accurately the information in the text.
