New American Standard Bible

The NASB is a revision of the 1901 'American Standard Version'. Many treat the NASB as the most literally-translated modern English Bible, using a ‘word for word’ method whilst refraining from adding interpretive opinions and contemporary cultural influences – allowing for a purely literally translation to shine through.

The original NASB was updated in 1995 to succeed the 1971 version, using newly discover manuscripts to provide a more accurate translation whist also revising vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure to reflect current English.
